On 1st September, the Main Media Centre (MMC) of Hangzhou Asian Games and Hangzhou Asian Para Games hosted a Media Exploration Day. This event welcomed over 250 journalists into MMC, providing them an opportunity to experience the variety of facilities and services on offer.
MMC is situated on the ground floor of the Hangzhou International Expo Center, encompassing four exhibition halls labeled as A, B, C and D, along with a lobby, a basement-level restaurant, and some designated areas, totaling a floorarea of nearly 50,000 square metres.
The Main Press Centre (MPC) serves as the primary stagefor publicising and reporting by accredited media during the Games. This area consists of distinct functional zones like the Media Service Desk, Public Workroom, Press Conference Hall, and Cloud Interview Room. Throughout the competition times, large screens will display live broadcasts of various matches, allowing journalists to compose their reports while watching the events. The International Broadcast Centre (IBC) takes the role of the broadcast and television media's main hub, mainly responsible for delivering primary broadcast services and rebroadcasting competition events.

The volunteer shift and rest area is situated in Basement Level 1, offering services for conference activities, collaborative learning, relaxation, and refreshments. Also located here, the Media Dining Hall will provide catering services for a continuous 20-hour period during the Games. A life services area is situated in Hall A on the ground floor, ensuring the essential needs of media journalists for both work and daily life.
MMC is scheduled for a trial run from 9th to 17th September, followed by normal operations to commence on 18th September.
