This rehearsal was conducted based on the Village's Games-time operating command system, involving the Asian Games Village Operations Centre, Opening and Closing Ceremonies Operations Centre, Transport Command Centre, NOC Services Team, and representatives from the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee, as well as the simulative client group of about 6,200 people.

The simulated group was divided into three ones: 3,600 people were assigned to the Athletes Village, 1,000 to the Technical Officials Village, and 1,600 to the Media Village. The people were grouped into 45 delegations, 50 technical official teams for sports programmes, and 59 media teams to respectively test the operations of the three villages.

The all-element rehearsal included the first rehearsal of the Hangzhou Asian Games Opening Ceremony and the Main Operations Centre Executive Office's rehearsal of A Typical Games Day, comprising the five major scenarios of client group's arrivals, daily operations, opening ceremony assembly, A Typical Games Day operations, and client group's departures.
