Recently, at the "Taste of Hangzhou, Delight in the Asian Games" culinary introduction event held in the Athletes Dining Hall at the Asian Games Village, six dishes were unveiled prior to the start of the Games. These dishes included Traditional Dongpo Meat, Sister Song's Fish Broth, Sautéed Shrimp, Beijing-style Beef with Scallions, Garlic Spare Ribs, and Stir-Fried Pork.

The Athletes Dining Hall is scheduled to open on September 9, and all preparations have been finalized. The dining hall will operate on a self-service model, offering various sections for hot meals, cold and room-temperature dishes, beverages, and display counters.

The hot meal section of the Athletes Dining Hall offers a diverse range of Chinese food, with a special focus on Hangzhou cuisine. Additionally, there are options for East Asian food, South Asian/Subcontinental food, Arabic and Middle East food, as well as Continental food. Popular Western fast food like Pizza Hut and KFC are also available.

The athletes' menu has undergone a thorough review by experts and has been approved by the Olympic Council of Asia. The menu takes into account various factors such as food safety, anti-doping control, and nutritional requirements. It is designed to cater to the diverse dietary habits and nutritional needs of the athletes.

According to a spokesperson from the Games Services Department of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee, the Athletes Dining Hall offers a fusion of local and international flavors that cater to the tastes of athletes from different countries and regions. During the Games, the Athletes Dining Hall will also showcase some intangible cultural heritage related to dining customs.
