In recent years, the host city and five co-host cities of the 19th Asian Games have been continuously improving transporting services. With the goal of creating a high-speed, intelligent, and convenient transporting system, a 3D transporting network covering land, water, and air has been established to support a spectacular Asian Games. 

More Convenient

If departing from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, you can arrive at Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre, the main venue for Hangzhou Asian Games, in just 20 minutes. And if you want to go to Fuyang competition zone, taking the nearest Fengqing Expressway and Caihong Expressway can get you there in less than 50 minutes. The fast traffic means are thanks to various expressways built up in Hangzhou in recent years. Currently, the total length of expressways in Hangzhou has increased from 182 kilometres to 480 kilometres in the last five years.

Among others, metro is also a good choice. The 516-kilometre-long metro network interweaving throughout Hangzhou connects over 30 Asian Games venues, providing convenient services for citizens and tourists during the Games.

Recently, the first trial ride of the Fuxing bullet train specially designed for the Hangzhou Asian Games was conducted publicly. During the Hangzhou Asian Games and Hangzhou Asian Para Games, the train will be put into operation between Hangzhou and the five co-host cities including Ningbo, Wenzhou, Jinhua, Shaoxing, and Huzhou, which will make the connections between these cities even closer.

All the six cities have Asian Games commuting routes, some sections of which even have special lanes for the Hangzhou Asian Games. As the Hangzhou Asian Games approaches, continuous transporting tests are being conducted to improve the service level.

The newly opened citywide rail system in Jinhua is the best transport means for citizens and tourists to travel for shopping and tourism. The shortest trip duration from Jinhua downtown to Yiwu International Trade City is 36 minutes only, and to Hengdian World Studios in just 60 minutes. Compared with the previous road transportation, the citywide rail significantly shortens trip time.

In mid-June this year, the first auto-pilot Asian Games shuttle bus route in Zhejiang province started operation in a community near Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Centre, along which there are three bus stops. Equipped with advanced technical devices, such as millimeter-wave radar, laser radar, visual camera, and ultrasonic radar, the bus can well respond to complex traffic scenes, maintaining stability and accuracy throughout the journey.
