On August 7, Azamjon Mansurov, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Shanghai and one of his colleagues visited Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (HAGOC) to learn about its preparation for the Hangzhou Asian Games.

At the meeting, the HAGOC updated the guests on the Games' preparation progress, and exchanged ideas with them on the opening/closing ceremonies, competition services, accreditation, media-related business, etc. Azamjon Mansurov expressed concern about the sizes of delegations, entry procedures and game-watching seating arrangements. Uzbekistan plans to send a delegation with over 400 athletes for the Games. After the meeting, Azamjon Mansurov and his colleague visited the residential zone in the Athletes Village, and the NOC Service Centre at Asian Games Village.

The Consul General expressed gratitude for the HAGOC's warm reception and highly appreciated the great efforts the HAGOC has devoted to organising the Games. He also expressed his hope for the Uzbekistan sports delegation to achieve excellent results in Hangzhou.
