Doha, Qatar, August 7, 2023: The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Secretary General HE Jassim Rashid Al Buenain met with a delegation from the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (HAGOC) at the QOC headquarters on August 3.

The visiting delegation was led by Mr. Miao Chengchao, Deputy Commander of the Operation Center of the 19th Asian Games, along with representatives from different departments of HAGOC.

The Chinese delegation's visit to the QOC was also attended by the H.E Chen Yue, Charge d' Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Qatar.

In this meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of sports cooperation and exchanged experiences. The visiting delegation was briefed about the extensive experience that Qatar has in hosting major global sport events, most recently the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The 19th Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8, following the postponement by one year due to the pandemic.
