On August 4, with a 50-day countdown to the 19th Asian Games, Fuxing bullet train specially designed for the Hangzhou Asian Games welcomed its first trial run for the public. Nearly a hundred media representatives and guests were invited to board the G55318/9 Asian Games train and experience the journey from Hangzhou West Station.
Smart technology enhances comfort
The train utilises an on-board WTD (Wireless Train Dispatching) system based on full-band 5G technology, and incorporates a safety monitoring system and a fault prediction and health management system. These technologies enable an integrated "train-ground" big data analysis platform, empowering the train to operate safely, rapidly, and smoothly.
The train is equipped with an automatic adjustment system for air pressure and temperature, effectively reducing and alleviating discomfort such as ear ringing caused by pressure changes when passing through tunnels.
The high-speed and low-latency "5G+WiFi" network covers the entire train, ensuring smooth internet access for passengers without any lag. The 1st and 8th carriages are equipped with intelligent interactive terminals, offering services such as a high-speed rail entertainment centre, wireless screen mirroring, and operational information.
Accessible facilities highlight caring for all passengers
Dedicated to the Asian Games, the train includes special accessible carriages with facilities like accessible restrooms and wheelchair storage areas, providing convenience for passengers with mobility challenges. Details such as Braille signs, functional buttons, and seat number prompts enhance the accessibility services.
Asian Games coating displays cultural appeal
The train is designed with Rainbow Purple, part of color system of the Hangzhou Asian Games. Some Asian Games features like the emblem and sports pictograms can be seen in the train.
Train staff mentioned that the Asian Games train will later operate on high-speed rail routes within Zhejiang Province. While providing convenient commuting for various Asian Games venues, it will also serve as a promotional window for Asian Games culture.
