In early August, 110 alternative energy trucks were officially put into use at the Hangzhou Asian Games Logistics Centre.
These alternative energy trucks will mainly shuttle between official ports, logistics centres, competition venues, and the Asian Games Village to complete various tasks such as distribution, delivery, and recycling of all kinds of goods. With a load capacity of 1.4 tons, each truck can travel over 270 kilometres on a single charge, which is sufficient to ensure the transportation of sports equipment, clothing, daily necessities, and other materials. Based on an estimated daily operation of 200 kilometres, during the nearly two months from the period of centralised material movement to the end of the Hangzhou Asian Games, carbon emissions will be reduced by nearly 1,500 tons.
The trucks are equipped with security monitoring devices and an intelligent in-vehicle system. The scope of surveillance cameras covers the front of the vehicle, the driver's cabin, and the interior of the truck. They not only provide real-time road conditions and ensure the safety of goods but also monitor the driver's driving status to prevent fatigue driving. The intelligent in-vehicle system can provide real-time feedback on the vehicle's location and speed to the Asian Games logistics system, allowing for early adjustments to the transportation route based on road conditions.
