Jiang Weimin, a 60-year-old Hangzhou citizen, plans to row a Stand-Up Paddling (SUP) along Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou on July 9. This is not his first voyage, but a second one.

In summer 37 years ago, Jiang Limin and Coach Xu Shuiqiang rowed a kayak northward along the canal from Hangzhou, and arrived in Beijing after 42 days. This event attracted nationwide attention, and the adventurous spirit of these two young people was impressive.

Different from last time, another purpose of Jiang Weimin's trip is to publicize water sports, hoping to support the Asian Games through individual actions. In addition, no camping is required during the trip, and he can stay in hotels. Equipment and materials will be more sufficient and safer.
