Can you reach Zhuji (Shaoxing, Zhejiang) from Hangzhou by metro? Yes, according to the latest transport plan, Hangzhou-Zhuji Intercity Railway will start construction in 2025, and is expected to be completed in 2030.

This intercity railway extends from Xiaoshan (Hangzhou) to Zhuji (Shaoxing), with a total length of 60 km, connected to Hangzhou Metro Line 18 (Phase IV).

In addition to Zhuji, Hangzhou plans to build multiple intercity railways so as to create a big metropolitan area that is centered around Hangzhou. At present, it is preliminarily determined that, by 2035, Hangzhou would be directly connected to Tongxiang, Deqing, Anji and Zhuji through rail transit.
