On June 28, the "Exciting Hangzhou" 2023 China's National Women's Handball Championships started at the Zhejiang Gongshang University Sports Centre and the Zhejiang Normal University Xiaoshan Gymnasium. Attracting ten high-level domestic women's handball teams, the tournament lasts for eight days.

The final will take place at Zhejiang Gongshang University Sports Centre. This is similar to the arrangement of the handball event at the Hangzhou Asian Games. Both venues will host the handball event of the Hangzhou Asian Games, and the final will also be held at Zhejiang Gongshang University Sports Centre. It is expected to produce two gold medals.

During this competition, the venue operations team will engage in comprehensive drills in accordance with the pre-Games standards of the Asian Games.
