On June 16, the Chinese women's gymnastics team won the team championship at the 2023 Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships, also the 10th Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Zhang Xinyi, a girl from Ningbo, stood out in the team. She made her debut at such an international event and won the gold medal for the Chinese team. She has also entered the individual finals of Balance Beam.
This Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships is also the qualification for the 2023 World Gymnastics Championships, for which the Chinese men's and women's teams already obtained entries last year. They would practice their skills in this event for the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games and the 2023 World Gymnastics Championships.
Born in 2007, Zhang Xinyi won the all-around runner-up in China's 2020 National Gymnastics Championships and claimed the U14 team championship of women's gymnastics at China's 14th National Games. She represented Zhejiang's team in the 2023 National Gymnastics Championships and won three golds, two silvers, and one bronze medal.
