Created around "I love Hangzhou and contribute to the Asian Games" and themed on "Animation & Asian Games, together for a shared future", the fantasy parade aims to present the sports event through animation.

As the Hangzhou Asian Games is drawing near, the whole city has been engaged in preparing for the great event. It was also the first time for the festival's fantasy parade to be organised on the crowded Hubin Pedestrian Street. Themed "Welcome to Hangzhou", "Hangzhou Asian Games", "Animation in Hangzhou", and "Sing for the Asian Games", the four parade floats celebrated the festival with people on site and added colour to the city of Hangzhou.

Cartoon and animation is a major city label of Hangzhou. The city is the hometown or second hometown of many famous old-generation Chinese cartoon masters such as Feng Zikai, Zhang Leping, and Hua Junwu. It has also attracted many popular cartoonists of modern time, including Cai Zhizhong, Zhu Deyong and Murong Yindao, to settle down.

"Waiting for you, let's come together. The Qiantang River surges with passion and vigour…" When the fantasy parade entered the last chapter of "Sing for the Asian Games", the song Waiting for You and the dance Happy Together were performed one after another. The parade team and citizens on site sang a song medley of various animations and the Asian Games, bringing the atmosphere to a new high.
