The Hangzhou Asian Games flame was ignited at the Liangzhu ancient city in Hangzhou on June 15, marking the beginning of the 100-day countdown to the commencement of the 19th Asian Games.
As one of the co-host cities with the most events, Shaoxing will host events for basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and climbing, handing out eight gold medals.
Aside from the volleyball venue, which has yet to undergo official testing, all other Asian Games venues in Shaoxing have already held test events.
"Preparations for the volleyball test event are proceeding rapidly. We are also implementing and following up on feedback and suggestions received from completed test events," said an official responsible for preparation work in Shaoxing.
So far, Shaoxing has provided training to a total of 1,073 personnel, including venue staff, event volunteers, and city volunteers. The training covers a wide range of topics, including etiquette for volunteer services, identification of emergencies, crisis management, physical training, and first aid education.
In addition, Shaoxing is preparing for athletes' accommodation security, catering, transportation, and other support services.
Progress is also being made on major projects such as the construction of Metro Line 2, ensuring that all projects aimed at elevating the quality of the games in Shaoxing will be completed by the end of July.
