On June 9, the "Exciting Hangzhou" 2023 Chinese Roller Sports Series opened at the Qiantang Roller Sports Centre in Hangzhou. This eight-day event consists of the China Speed Track Elite Competition, the China Freestyle Elite Competition, and the China Artistic Skating Open (Qiantang).
The first two events of the series also serve as qualification trials for China's national team for the Hangzhou Asian Games, where one speed track athlete and three freestyle athletes will be chosen to represent China in the Asian Games.
According to Wang Zhengyang, an athlete from Hangzhou , "I will represent Hangzhou in all the speed track events, and my only goal is to make it into the national team and represent China in the Asian Games."
The Qiantang Roller Sports Centre is the most professional indoor roller sports venue in Asia and is also the venue for the roller sports of the Hangzhou Asian Games. The operation team will also take this event as a test on its event service capabilities.
