On May 28, kids and adults from 50 families painted in two enormous Y-shaped frames on the plaza in front of the Chonghua Hall of the Southern Song Dynasty Deshou Palace Ruins Museum. Y is the first letter of the Chinese characters "Charm" and "Games." On the same day, the museum hosted an award ceremony for the Shangcheng District's Kids Photography, Painting, Calligraphy, and Story-telling Campaign. The art performances and winning works on display were examples of how the rich heritage of the Song Dynasty is well preserved in a city eagerly anticipating the Asian Games.
