On May 12th, the highly anticipated "Exciting Hangzhou" 2023 National Marathon Swimming Championships began at the Chun'an Jieshou Sports Centre Swimming Course. This prestigious event drew the participation of 16 teams and 171 athletes from across the country.

Zhang Ziyang from Hubei emerged as the victor in the men's 10KM swimming championship. His outstanding performance has earned him a spot to compete in the 400m freestyle event at the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games.

Wu Shutong from Tianjin clinched the women's 10KM swimming championship, adding to her impressive achievements as the winner of the women's 800m freestyle championship at the 2020 National Spring Swimming Championships.

Wang Minchao, Chairman of the Open Waters Committee of the Asian Swimming Federation, commended the Jieshou Sports Centre for its spacious layout, excellent facilities, and exceptional water quality.
