From April 8 to 11, A. Hakeem Mohd A.M. Al, Athletics Technical Delegate (TD) of the Hangzhou Asian Games, and Cuddi Kotta Valson, Competition Director of Asian Athletics Association (AAA), visited Hangzhou to inspect the track and field competition venues and preparations for the Hangzhou Asian Games.

The delegation visited the competition venues of marathon and race walk, the athletes' warm-up venue and competition venue of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium, and inspected and provided guidance on the competition organisation of track and field events, functions and sports facilities of competition and training venues, traffic lines at the venues, and competition equipment, among other work.

The AAA Competition Director spoke highly of the competition facilities and equipment of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium and further recognised the space planning of the venue. In addition, the two leaders fully appreciated the professionalism of the operation team, believing that they could organise the athletics events with high quality.

The athletics events of this Asian Games will award 48 gold medals, including race walk, running, jumping and throwing.
