Recently the general training of pre-recruited volunteers for the Hangzhou Asian Games and Hangzhou Asian Para Games came to the end, and more than 40,000 pre-recruited volunteers from 46 universities and all walks of society have completed courses and passed exams during the training.
The training focused on the concept of volunteer service at the Games, job requirements, discipline and rules of service, general etiquette standards, emergency response, knowledge and skills to facilitate people with impairments, and first aid. Eight courses on service literacy were offered along with those on comprehensive knowledge such as history of the Asian Games, general information about Asia, religious cultures, and Hangzhou's history and culture.
All localities and universities actively organised trainers to carefully polish the courses through collective lesson preparation meetings and trial lectures, etc., and completed all general training on March 31. In addition, the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (HAGOC) Volunteers Department adopted multiple measures to improve the quality of training, such as carrying out small-class teaching, organising trainees to watch online courses together and holding exams after the training.

Later, the HAGOC Volunteers Department will organise the pre-recruited volunteers to carry out rehearsals on etiquette, assistance to people with impairments, physical fitness and first aid. Before formally taking up their quarters, volunteers will receive venue training, on-the-job training, as well as drills and test event service training, so as to provide professional and standardised volunteer services for the Games.
