The reporter learned from Zhejiang Provincial Esports Association that, the group standard of Zhejiang Skill Level Evaluation Specification for Esports Athletes was approved by experts and would be implemented on April 1.
The specification proposes that, professional esports players can apply for the corresponding skill level title of esports athletes, if they attend the competition in the announced event list, make the corresponding results, and meet the related skill level requirements. Non-professional players that are included in the top eight athletes at the county (district) non-professional competition can apply for evaluation of five non-professional skill levels.
Mi Jiacheng, a member of LGD Club Peace Elite Branch, excitedly said: "This is really good news for professional esports athletes, which means that the skill level of athletes will be recognized."
Jin Kaosheng, the executive vice chairman of Zhejiang Provincial Esports Association, said: "The establishment of the standard is to normalize esports in Zhejiang, build the event characteristics in line with the development of esports in Zhejiang, and promote the standardization of the level of athletes."
