Young women's soccer teams back on fire in Hangzhou

The CFA Youth Football Championship 2023 (Major City Group) (Hangzhou Competition Zone) kicked off on March 12. Eight U11 women's football teams from Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing and Hangzhou gathered in Tonglu County of Hangzhou to present a wonderful match.

The event is sponsored by the General Administration of Sport of China and Chinese Football Association, and is the new platform for the exchange, selection and promotion of youth football talents in major cities in China. It officially kicks off in March, and 270 football teams that are from 15 national key cities for football development and cover the age range of U10-U15 will attend more than 3,000 games. 

After two-day competition, Suzhou Red Team won four games with 12 points and temporarily took the first place in Hangzhou Competition Zone. It was reported that eight U11 women's teams would compete in three stages, and the top ranked team would have the opportunity to attend the youth competition hosted by East Asian Football Federation.

It was worth mentioning that, Hangzhou Competition Zone specially prepared the Asian Games mascots as souvenirs for the best players in the competition, so as to expand the influence of Hangzhou Asian Games in the youth group.
