Hangzhou's 82-year-old craftsman celebrates Hangzhou Asian Games through paper cutting

Paper cutting is one of the traditional intangible cultural heritages of China. Every piece of paper has become creative and full of Asian Games elements in the hands of 82-year-old Xu Yongxing.

Xu Yongxing is the founder of Nansha Paper Cutting. He has made paper cutting become one of the first batch of intangible cultural heritages in Qiantang District, and the people's life scenes are presented through paper cutting.

"After knowing that the Asian Games would be held in Hangzhou, I would like to celebrate the Asian Games in my own way. Therefore, I have started to make the paper cutting works related to the Asian Games since last year." Xu Yongxing said: "Every day, I spend about three or four hours in making the paper cutting works."

After three or four months of hard work, these paper cutting works related to the Asian Games have been completed finally. He said: "I hope that Hangzhou Asian Games will be held smoothly and our athletes can achieve good results in the event."
