'Zero-waste Asian Games' is underway

On September 29, Cui Wenjuan as the Olympic champion of Wushu, and volunteers from all walks of life, showed up in Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium to promote the concept of "zero-waste Asian Games", urge citizens to choose zero-waste venues in daily sports, and make due contributions to the construction of zero-waste city by bringing their own water bottles and towels. 

The application scenario of "zero-waste Asian Games" was officially launched yesterday. The whole process control and monitoring, from venue facilities to reception service supplies, ensured the reduction of solid waste of various kinds from source and 100% safe & harmless disposal of solid waste. Meanwhile, the list of the first batch of “zero-waste Asian Games cells” has also been released. Hangzhou has ratified 16 zero-waste demonstration sites, including “zero-waste Asian Games venues”, "zero-waste Asian Games restaurants"and "zero-waste Asian Games factories". Green Bud as the cartoon image of "zero-waste Asian Games", and the first animation film titled "zero-waste Asian Games" have been officially released. 

The zero-waste, green and low-carbon concept has been the tenet upheld by Hangzhou Asian Games. From electronic certificates to low-carbon recycling, all the tangible and intangible details reflect the zero-waste concept.
