In the past few days, Hangzhou Liuxia Sub-district Association organized the creativity class, and invited Liu Xiaying, a representative inheritor of paper-cutting as Zhejiang provincial intangible cultural heritage of China, to launch the paper-cut class themed by "greeting the Asian Games", encouraging the people to express the mascots and other elements of the Asian Games with paper-cutting.

Liu Xiaying carefully explained the basic techniques and operation steps of paper-cutting from aspects like circle, tip, square, notch and line. She also introduced the creation process of the mascots of Hangzhou Asian Games including "Chenchen", "Congcong" and "Lianlian", and integrated Asian Games Mascot "Lianlian" and lotus into the paper-cutting in combination with the current application of paper-cutting art.

This activity was oriented to the members of the community labor union, as well as the volunteers within the jurisdiction, to create a strong atmosphere for greeting the Asian Games when carrying forward the traditional culture of China and experiencing the charm of paper-cut culture.
