From 2005 to 2014, more than 100 entomologists from nearly 30 research institutions in the country came to Qingliang Peak, some stayed there for one week and some one month. They collected more than 200,000 insect specimens in total.

    Through assessment and description, the entomologist team obtained 45 world new species and 11 Chinese new species. Recently, new species of eodorcadion and coccotori, six sciarids and sawflies have been identified through international periodicals and officially named.
