Some early orange osmanthuses have already blossomed at the Manjuelong Village, but not as early as last year, when the osmanthus started to bloom on Aug. 29th.
Big temperature difference can encourage the blossom of sweet osmanthus. It rained a lot in August in Hangzhou with small temperature changes; as a result, even the early sweet osmanthus was not ready to blossom.
Now with 30℃ at noon and 24℃ in the morning and evening, many early blossom species are in buds. You can check them out this weekend around the Sun Square at the Manjuelong Village.
In the following weeks if the weather in Hangzhou continues to be hot at noon and cool in the morning and evening, more sweet osmanthus are expected to blossom by the mid of September. |
