The memorandum of understanding has been signed at the conference of international higher education at Haining International Campus, between the host, Zhejiang University, and the guests The University of Edinburgh and University of  Illino is at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) respectively, with an agreement with the latter on doctoral student development. The host university will go hand in hand with The University of Edinburgh in founding a research center for biomedicine and comprehensive health transformation; a joint research center for engineering biology will be founded by Schoolof Life Sciences from the former and School of Biological Sciences from the latter. Also, Zhejiang University will partner with UIUC in founding a joint research center.
