A Swiss and Zhejiang University Graduate Has Translated Thousand-character Classic into German

Officially published in Germany, the China’s Thousand-character Classic was newly translated into German by LIN Xiaofa, a Swiss scholar, which by the end of 2018, up to 3,500 copies had sold out and won highly praise in European readers, from common public to Chinese professionals.

LIN Xiaofa began to teach herself Chinese at the age of 14, at 21 came to study in China and lived for 25 years, during which time she completed master studying in Zhejiang University. Correspondingly, she is very versed in Chinese culture, and committed to translating China’s famous works into German.
