en.hangzhou.com.cn 2018/10/31 15:53 Urban Express

There are over 7,000 rare diseases across the world currently, only about 5% of which can be treated by medicine. To study and make “Orphan drugs” has thus become a shared task by global scientists and doctors.

In Westlake University, there are scientists, who immerse themselves in the lab and hope to make more “Orphan drugs”, so that patients with rare diseases will have the day-dawn of existence.

A2-million-yuanfund-raising has been made together by Urban Expressand West Lake Education Foundation, which means more help will be collected from Hangzhou citizens. The subsequent funds will be used for “West Lake Project for Research of Rare Diseases”.

There is no limit for donating, because every penny is a symbol of support to the scientific research, and also of love to the world.
