Zhejiang’s first Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card applied through permanent residence application “direct train” for high-level foreign talents was issued yesterday.

According to the new entry and exit policy of Hangzhou National Independent Innovation Demonstration Area, Hangzhou Hi-Tech Industry Development Zone has become one of the three institutions which have the right to recommend high-level foreign talents to apply for permanent resident ID card. High-level foreign talents and their spouse and underaged children matching certain standards can directly apply for permanent residence in China in High-Tech (Binjiang) District. The time for application has been shortened from 180 days to 90 days.
