With the organization of Hangzhou Bureau of Health and the new Exploring Health development research center; the Hangzhou Bureau of Health inspectors, and the Hangzhou Disease Prevention and Control Center organized the“Hangzhou City Tobacco Control of Enforcement Ability Seminar”began yesterday. It declared that Hangzhou has been chosen as the national“nonsmoking law promotion and enforcement ably constructed program.”

    In March of 2010 the (Hangzhou Public Smoking Regulations) were issued and implemented to become one of the first domestic smoking regulations; the legislation have been established for three years now and the sales of cigarette sales in Hangzhou have fallen 28%. Crowd smoking has dropped three percent. Up until the present the Hangzhou City Tobacco Control Enforcement communal inspected over 80,000 public places. Among them has been reforms of over 5000 businesses and their have been warnings of over 600 businesses. Fines have been imposed on 330 businesses, and the amount of the fines have exceeded 22,000 RMB.
