On Nov.27^th, the first Gan Tang Festival in 2010 opened in Xixi Wetland. Gan Tang means to dry up the fishpond first and then catch the fish and desilt in preparation for fish-farming next year. The villagers nearby would come to take some advantage when drying up the pond, i.e., to collect some fish left.
