The cricket fighting culture in Southern Song Dynasty is the only successful heritage of insect culture. 

Hangzhou holds cricket festival every year in autumn and it has become a highlight of Hangzhou Southern Song Cultural Festival. The festival not only caters to s crickets lovers from all over the country, but also brings about a platform to carry forward the traditional Chinese culture.

The 11th Hangzhou Cricket Cultural Festival running from October 8 to 10 is divided into three activities in the antique city of Wushan.

The first one is the special exhibition of the cricket pot made by Cao Chao, the craftsman of Shangcheng district. Hundreds of works of the cricket pot made by Cao are on display for cricket fans to purchase.

The second is Shifeng painted cricket exhibition, which was created by Shifeng, a famous flower and bird painter in Botou, Hebei.

The third turnes out to be the city competition of the highest level of the crickets to be held at 2 PM on October 10. The three activities are held on the first floor of the western district of Wushan antique city.
